We are an independent record label born in Montevideo, Uruguay in 2006. Inspired in the concept ofentropy<\/abbr>(and the Bad Religion song) in 2006 we made \"Entrop\u00eda Producciones\". We define ourselves as a multitudinous team of people with a common goal working independently following the concept of D.I.Y.<\/abbr>.<\/p>\n

We release records, we organize gigs<\/a> and we try to bring something to the scene.

More History<\/h3>\n

Initially Entrop\u00eda Producciones<\/strong> was founded by Fernando (guitar player in Los Farzantes, founder of the ancient site Punk Radikal<\/a>. underground scene fanboy, rehearsal crasher, roadie, sometimes manager, and more...) and Mart\u00edn (drummer in Nada Que Hacer, Artista Desconocido) to start organizing gigs. Our first attempt was to have Strung Out play in Uruguay. Though the band's Latin American tour ended up being cancelled, we learned a lot and the experience helped us for what would come in the future.<\/p>\n

During the recording of the new record from Nada Que Hacer<\/strong> in 2009, the idea came up to reuse the name \"Entrop\u00eda\" to release the album in CD and thus was born Entrop\u00eda Records<\/strong>. The following year we released the first album by the Ska Punk band Go Go Squat<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

For a while, Mario joined the team and we organized gigs in Maldonado, Uruguay with local bands such as Go Go Squat<\/em>, Trotsky Vengar\u00e1n<\/strong>, Esqadrapunk<\/strong>, Sonny Chiba<\/strong> and more.<\/p>\n

By 2016 Juli Guerrero also joined the team, a dynamo of energy and initiative that gave Entrop\u00eda a lot of strength. We organized lots of gigs and activities such as Entrop\u00eda Fest<\/a> (2016), Union Tour<\/a> (2017), and we released 10:10 by Punkzer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In 2017 I (Fernando) moved to Scotland. With this change I stopped being so connected to the Uruguayan local scene, but I had the chance to rediscover a new scene. Scotland has a massive underground cultural movement, very diverse, friendly and welcoming. That's why these days the label is starting to focus more in what I get to see and interact with over here, and soon CD's will start again<\/del>, we're already publishing Scottish CDs. But I always keep in mind the idea of generating innercia to keep working in projects with friends from both sides of the Atlantic Ocean.<\/p>\n

Though today it's just me, Entrop\u00eda has always been a team work. It's nothing more than a name under which I work to help the scene I love so much. Always independent, following the DIY ideology, collaboration, solidarity and most important of all fun \ud83e\udd18<\/p>\n

My inspiration for the record label have been Epitaph, Fat Wreck Chords and more recently Make That A Take<\/a>. Until now, my criteria when deciding to release a record has been very basic:<\/p>\n
